I managed and helped to grow a small aerospace manufacturing company from its 10 person beginnings to a state of the art company employing over 110 people.As Plant Manager my career spanned a 30 year period and my responsibilities encompassed technical sales, marketing, company management and customer relationship management. I managed and grew business relationships adding millions of dollars in new contracts while nurturing existing contracts. I traveled to customer locations around the world resolving issues through presentations and face to face negotiations.I currently hold the position of Vice President.I joined the American Gear Manufacturers Association's Fine Pitch Gearing Committee which writes technical specifications for the gearing industry and eventually became Chairman. I still oversee it to this day.During my career I was responsible for advertising both print and online. I learned graphic art programs, HTML and PHP coding required for website development. This launched Connecticut Web Services, LLC, which I run successfully with the help of my daughter. We offer web and graphic services such as domain name registration, web hosting, email plans, marketing, website design, print advertising, graphics and other related services.In 2012 I ran for Connecticut's district 8 State Senate seat as the Democratic Party's endorsed candidate. District 8 encompasses 11 towns in the central northwest portion of the state with a total population of just over 95,000. It was a great experience and I met many interesting people that I would have otherwise have never met. I received 43% of the vote with 21,000 votes to my incumbent opponents 28,000 votes. The state Senate term is 2 years.
