    This was a very short lived business, though significant in Dan Shinder's career for two reasons:1. It was the first time Dan applied video production and all his other business skills to drumming2. It was during Dan's Drum Clinics that Dan first began using Social Media for business and the strategies that has taken Drum Talk TV to reach 20 million people a week all began here.Dan's Drum Clinics was an online video drum lesson platform. The lessons were prerecorded by Dan, uploaded to YouTube and distributed through a Facebook page. The Facebook page is also where topics were nurtured into discussions as a forum among drummers from 60 countries, a benchmark reached within the first three months of the brand's existence.In DDC's second month, July of 2012, Dan got the idea to interview fellow drummers and drumming educators. The concept was this: "Not all lessons happen behind a drum kit or at a practice pad. Lessons could be learned from listening to other drummers perspectives based on their unique experiences. From the day Dan mentioned to his wife Nja that he was going to do interviews, she said, "That is what is going to go big and put you back on the map!"​ Dan played it down, sincerely believing and adamantly stating, "No, it's all about the lessons, the interviews are just to encourage learning."​But in November of 2012 after about a dozen interviews and creating television-like episodes, complete with heavy post production intros and outros and deciding to cover the 2013 NAMM Show, Dan realized his wife was right. With the popularity of the interviews growing on social media and the opportunity that lay ahead, Dan realized his wife was right.By the end of the year he moved "Drum Talk"​ as a tab on the Dan's Drum Clinics website, to Drum Talk TV, LLC and left Dan's Drum Clinics behind. On January 1, 2013 Drum Talk TV was officially born.

    Chewww On This was a cooking show created by Dan Shinder. Mr. Shinder created the show when he had what he refers to as an "I can do that!"​ moment as an avid fan of the Food Network. The show began on CAPS Television in Ventura, California. Four months later the show earned "Best New Show"​ award from a people's choice vote. Mr. Shinder had no prior video experience whatsoever. "I knew exactly how I wanted the show to look, feel and sound, "Shinder explains, "​ as well as what I wanted the takeaway for the audience to be."​The show title was a play on words: Chewww On This!Something we do when we eat. A saying for something to think about.Each episode included the history of a dish, the etymology of the name, the nutritional aspects and more.Shinder made a last minute decision to film the series in his own home kitchen, as he explains:"We had arrangements to use a cooking school in Thousand Oaks. A big professional teaching kitchen. Then two weeks or less before we were to begin filming the first four episodes in one weekend, I said, 'I can't film this show there! We are supposed to be showing people how they can make what I am making. How is that going to be believable if I am doing it with everything they do not have in their own kitchen?'​ I wanted to inspire and empower people to try what I show them."​Within the first year, the show was on in 65 cities and had it's own sponsors. The highlight of the series was filmed at the 146th Air Lift Wing Air National Guard, Channel Islands. Dan and co-host Ed Babic cooked for 500 Air National Guard troops, most of whom were on their way to or had just returned from Iraq or Afghanistan. The show culminated with Dan interviewing three Tuskegee Airmen.Ten years later, Dan Shinder would take this experience, along with all the other video experience he gained along the way and apply it to Drum Talk TV, including the penetrating yet playful personality of the show, which has become the voice of the brand.

    Dan began his work as a professional drummer at 15. He joined "Spirit of America" and toured the United States the summer of 1978 and 1979. On these tours he opened for Styx, Heart, The Osmonds, Blue Oyster Cult, Seals & Crofts and others.He went on to play in various types of rock bands playing all over the San Fernando Valley and the Sunset Strip in Hollywood. Eventually (as more and more children were born), he moved from playing in bands, to producing up and coming bands and artists. This also led to his recording of a few instrumental projects, which led to producing, voice directing/casting and composing/performing music for radio commercials.Throughout this time he also did session work as a drummer on projects to symphonic music to hard rock to progressive rock to world music. He also taught drumming on and off. Dan still loves locking himself in his drum studio and playing his favorite music a few times a week.
