Stephenville, Texas

The project for this company was to manage the implementation of a multi-channel retail system that included call center, web store and POS. The vendor for this project had underestimated the complexity of integrating the system with existing company systems and processes. Issues developed when the vendor had difficulty in meeting scheduled dates and providing essential features. Clarifying roles, responsibilities and requirements was a challenge as well as managing the delivery of vendor software components just prior to scheduled implementation dates. The project was completed successfully and on good terms with the vendor.

North Texas And Oklahoma

Worked with companies in North Texas and Oklahoma providing project management and IT consulting services. There were two major projects during this period. One was the implementation of a talent acquisition system for a fast food chain and the other was working with physicians to select and implement electronic health records systems. I also completed a Health Information Technology certification course.

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

I worked as a contract Project Manager and Product Manager at Dobson Communications since October 2006. Initially, I was the Project Manager for the implementation of ringback tones which successfully completed in August 2007. I was also Project Manager for the discovery and requirements phases of a Mobile Control project in which we successfully selected a vendor to provide the services. This project was terminated when AT&T purchased Dobson Communications in September 2007. Since that time I worked as the Product Manager of data products, voice products and prepaid wireless service while Dobson customers were migrated.

North Texas And Oklahoma

Worked with companies in Texas and Oklahoma proving project management and IT consulting services. The primary client during this period was Cambridge Integrated Services Group (CISGI). I completed several major projects for this company. All projects were completed successfully except for one which was determined to be too complicated for implementation. The project teams ranged from 4 stakeholders to more than 35 stakeholders. Projects successfully completed included one with a hostile principle stakeholder, one extremely large project including stakeholders from 4 separate companies, one with a critical end date and minimum time to complete and one in which the primary knowledge asset was removed approximately half way thru the project. I also served as interim IT Manager for three systems. When I assumed the management position there was little progress in completing any work on a backlog of over 300 change requests. I developed an agile process for the development teams which within one month allowed progress to be made and within three months significant progress was being made to reduce the backlog.
