Current policy professional and recent LSE International Relations graduate with over a decade of previous experience, and a proven strong set of skills in communication, administration, stakeholder engagement, policy development, project and team coordination, research and analysis. Interested in pursuing impactful, values-driven roles in which I can further my passion for politics, social justice and economic inclusion, both in the UK and internationally.--As an International Relations graduate from the London School of Economics, I am passionate about addressing the complex challenges that the world faces today. During my degree studies, through coursework, research projects, and extracurricular activities, I acquired a broad knowledge of many important international issues, including environment and sustainability, security, multilateralism and development. In the final year of my degree I was able to pursue my interest in global development with a specific regional focus on sub-Saharan Africa. I received a strong first class grade for a research paper analysing the international and domestic dynamics of the cobalt mining industry in the Democratic Republic of Congo, and its implications for human rights, governance and the environment within the country. The paper has since been published in the LSE Journal of Geography & Environment.Since finishing my degree, I have been working as the policy lead for the Veterinary Schools Council (VSC). This is a varied role that involves engagement with stakeholders across the sector, communications, policy development and evaluation, delivery of the VSC secretariat, budgeting and financial reporting, and organising and running events. In addition, I have over a decade of previous experience in roles involving service delivery, events, project support, and stakeholder engagement. Immediately prior to beginning my degree, I was based in Canada working as a Customer Experience Coordinator at Hopper, a travel app that harnesses data and AI to provide personalised recommendations and deals on flights and hotels. There, I supervised teams of customer service agents, coordinated projects to improve customer satisfaction, and engaged with a range of stakeholders including senior leadership, airline partners, and the product and engineering teams.
