In this position, I oversaw the enterprise solutions business within one of our civilian sales divisions. I was responsible for solution consultants and a pipeline in excess of $200M consisting of enterprise solutions and technical services.I served as the lead technical consultant for an Active Directory and Exchange Migration supporting more than 50,000 users for a DHS Component. The system was one of the first to be integrated at one of the two DHS Data Centers. I served as the lead technical consultant for the initial High Density Computing and Server Virtualization environment for a major DHS component, and was the lead technical contributor and architect on a large-scale data center integration and migration effort for a large IT organization within the FBI. I worked in conjunction with a major DHS component and a major Data Center Infrastructure provider to architect a high-density data center platform delivery nearly 10x density with improved power and cooling efficiency. I was also privileged to work with the Department of Energy to architect a next-generation data center design leveraging alternative energy and increasing utilization and efficienty more than 10x through server, network, and storage virtualization and consolidation.

In this role, I was focused on developing a pipeline of enterprise storage and systems business from 5M to 100M in 9 months. This consisted of building partnerships between the GTSI sales team and key storage partners, as well as leading pre-sales engagements, developing proposal responses, building business cases for consolidation and DR efforts. I then became focused on establishing partnerships between our sales teams and OEM sales teams, as well as with other technology verticals within GTSI.

In this role, I managed a variety of functions ranging from inside and outside sales, to pre-sales engineering and partner relationships with Sun, Oracle, Cisco, EMC, Veritas, and other data center solutions providers. Our corporate focus was exclusively public sector, and much of my work was with State, Local, and Educational (SLED) clients in the State of California. I designed and implemented workforce productivity and data center consolidation solutions for CALTRANS and various municipalities in southern and central California.At McBride, I built the Enterprise Solutions Group, which focused on transforming McBride’s VAR product sales culture into a solution-centric sales environment. I led numerous technology integrations using Sun Microsystems infrastructure for Servers and Storage, and led the integration of a statewide Mission Critical server infrastructure supporting nearly 20 field offices for CALTRANS. I also led the modernization and consolidation of data center infrastructure supporting a major data center for the US Army Corps of Engineers, and obtained 8 Sun SE certifications in 6 months – specializing in storage and enterprise servers.
