Ayima is one of the foremost digital marketing agencies, servicing many large blue chip clients both in the UK and US. Technology is at the heart of what Ayima does, using proprietary software systems to analyse the state of the internet and help our clients understand their market more clearly. As head of development I lead a team of developers that work across all aspects of the business, from our in house creative digital agency, to internal and public tool development.I work closely with internal stakeholders to create and improve useful in house tools for data analysis, information discovery and data collection. I also work with our marketing team to create tools which are public facing. Additionally I oversee technical development for our in house digital agency, working with small, medium and large blue chip clients to create everything from campaign material and emails up to full websites and complex applications.

I've been leading the technology effort at Ayima for many years, helping to manage and grow teams as well as building and maintaining complex systems that keep the company running. Factory Media is Europe's Largest Action Sports Publishing Company, owning 25+ websites and print magazines. During my tenure there, I worked with and lead teams of developers as well as working solo on multiple projects. The last project I helped deliver is there was Mpora Gear, a price comparison website for Action Sports. I consulted with the contractors who built the initial versions and then added and expanded functionality. Mpora Gear pulled together automated feeds from 60 retailers from all the main affiliate companies, and displayed the products to the end user.I was responsible for: - Architecture & development for Factory Media’s network of 25+ websites.- All Factory Media infrastructure including setup and monitoring.- Working with internal and external clients to deliver new projects.- Managing external contractors and suppliers.Achievements:- Built the initial versions of mpora.com as the sole developer. - Built the Mpora video system, which at the time I left served 2 million+ video streams a month.- Helped develop the worlds first action sports price comparison engine - Mpora Gear.- Built a documented API for Mpora.com, exposing core functionality- The Mpora network handled in excess of 4 Million unique users per month. - Built scalable systems handling tens of thousands of visits/streams an hour.

I started at Factory Media as the sole programmer. I was tasked with planning and building an action sports portal from scratch, called mpora.com. Over the years the site has grown from a simple CMS/Content website to a very popular video and photo sharing site for action sports enthusiasts. The system currently handles several million unique visitors a month.

My main duties involved dealing with support queries about Dial-A-Cab’s "Mobile Data Terminal" used by over 2000 black taxi drivers that are part of the Dial-A-Cab fleet. My position also involved monitoring the integrity of our data and radio transmission network and taking action if a fault is detected.
