• Evaluate and negotiate current market prices, understand, research, and assess vehicle damage and subsequent costs involved with the damage, and make financially sound purchasing decisions for the company through customer appraisals, offsite auctions or online venues.• Forecast, plan and manage inventory with consideration to selection, pricing, promoting sales, and margins.• Manage the office environment, including scheduling and staffing, interviewing, selecting and training of associates; setting and adjusting hours of work; directing the work of associates; analyzing purchasing records for use in supervision and appraisingassociate productivity.• Ensure positive associate engagement and associate development by resolving associate concerns by providing timely, specific, candid, and respectful feedback to associates both within the Purchasing Department and throughout the store location(s).• Drive team and store(s) performance through effective action plan development and execution that focus on the company mission and the merchandising department’s goals. • Facilitate training workshops and modules• Assess talent while interviewing, mentoring, and participating in Career Development Program interviews.• Facilitate and support the execution of new store procedures and process.• Deliver exceptional customer service and work with other departments to create strong customer experiences.
