In the last 20 years, Dan has worked in technology, manufacturing, and retail. He has been the founder or principal in several ventures. He is known for his extensive tech hardware/software knowledge, and his people management and training skills.As the CTO for Kind Financial, he was responsible for planning, designing, building, and implementing commercial/government software and hardware solutions. These projects have included payment processing systems, banking and police compliance portals, commercial seed to sale, government seed to sale tracking, government licensing solutions, IoT asset and people tracking, and cultivation hardware and software. Working in the emerging Cannabis market has given him unique insights, specifically working with Dispensaries and Grows during their influx around 2009. In 2011 he was the I.T. Director for CO Dispensary Services with two grows, infused production, and four retail stores. He helped develop company processes and managed all tech initiatives including Point of Sale, Network Management, Website admin, and much more. In 2011 he founded ElecTech (now Safe and Sound) with a focus on security and technology. They supply website design and management, camera surveillance, security alarms, Network management, and many other tech services to hundreds of businesses in Colorado. Dan has worked with electronics his whole life, and he has always been passionate about them. As early as age six he was fixing AM/FM radio's, and by age 12 he was wiring his parent's house for voice and data connections. He was accepted and attended a computer science program in high school where he learned network management, HTML, Visual Basic, and C++. Shortly after, he was in management at Best Buy and performed consistently in the top 1% out of over 600 stores. Dan then ran his first business in home automation and high-end home theater learning to program Control4 hardware and software. After a few years, he transitioned to retail and helped develop the tech repair program utilized at 1200+ Office Depot retail stores. He also built and opened stores, and trained hundreds of employees and managers during his tenure there.All of this experience has made him an intuitive leader, a creative engineer, and generally fun to work with.
