About Dan Storey

For years, I've been asking these two questions: - Why do we do what we do?- How can we influence the decisions we make?In the business world, this has taken me firmly into the areas of sales training and enablement, as businesses try to figure out the best ways to convince clients and prospects to make the "correct" buying decision. In my studies, this has led me to explore neuro-linguistic programming, a master's degree in behavioural decision science, coaching certificates and also psychometric testing such as DISC and the mental toughness MTU assessment.These two questions are of particular interest to me for several reasons:- Most people don't maximise the experience they get out of life, too often settling for much less than they are capable of. - Most people resist change, even though they are not satisfied with the status quo.- Most people are not held back by anything external, but rather by their own psychology and imagination.- Most people use excuses to justify not doing things they really know they should be doing.- Most people stop setting goals and pushing themselves as they get older. And yes, I have definitely been in that group of"most people" in my life. So what does this mean? What do you actually do Dan? Ok, here is how I spend much of my time, professionally:- Sales Training & Enablement. Working directly with companies as either a consultant or employee (if there is a really good match). This includes both sales teams as well as leadership teams. - Coaching. I work with individuals who want to improve their performance and understand that it is their mindset and mental toughness that is the most important factor. - Writing. I have written two books. One on sales called Next Level Persuasion. The other on the psychology behind making big changes in life called Personal Transformation Blueprint. -Online Courses. I share my knowledge and experience through online courses and training material, available from my website at DanStorey.com.- Podcasts. I am the host of two podcasts - Sales Enabled || Personal Transformation Podcast - on the two topics I am most passionate about. Outside of work, I am a proud husband and father (#girldad), one of the top master's natural physique bodybuilders in the UK, and a committed student for life.
