As a member of the Community Publishing Creative Services team I am responsible for the production of print and web advertising for use in over 85 local news markets. I Design advertising for Web, Print and Multimedia formats for distribution to various news markets around the country.

Collaborated with product managers as a member of the marketing team to design and produce print and web campaigns for an in house marketing program. I took the lead role in print collateral management, procuring print services, and managing workflow for all printed materials. I created design concepts, collaborating with the Art Director, and was responsible for final art reproduction.

Worked in conjunction with senior executives, program managers, and subject matter experts (SMEs) in developing and creating effective responses to federal government requests for proposals (RFPs), ensuring compliance and highlighting company strengths and qualities for a growing service-disabled, veteran owned firm.

Collaborated with senior design staff and directly with clients in a graphic design studio which produced 13 monthly, bi-monthly, and quarterly magazine titles as well as corporate identity, annual reports, advertising campaigns and newsletters. Worked closely with clients, editorial staff, product representatives, and printers on a daily basis to coordinate and produce all final art.

Created press ready PostScript files for a client base that included The National Gallery of Art, utilizing all major desktop publishing and pre press software on both Macintosh and PC platforms for a commercial sheet fed and web printing business.

Coordinated all aspects of digital film output and plate making, accounting for vital pre press parameters related to sheet fed printing for a commercial printer.Prepared and paginated all customer electronic files for digital output according to specific press specifications. Imposed booklets, brochures and magazines using Preps Imposition software.

Responsible for prepress production of all editions, advertising supplements, and editorial tabloids for this daily newspaper.Acted as the liaison between the press room and news room, solving technical issues prior to press time.Created film negatives from shooting mechanically imposed pages on a vertical stat camera.Scanned transparencies, halftones, and line art, and retouched digital files for placement in all editions.
