Provided project management for de novo outpatient and tele-psychiatry and therapy program in Florida. Served as program’s first administrator throughout startup including overseeing licensing, Medicare and insurance credentialing, and revenue cycle management. Provided leadership for organic growth of IOP/PHP programs in Florida and Maryland including real estate acquisition, construction, and credentialing. Managed revenue cycle and electronic health record integration projects. Simultaneously managed teams working on multiple projects across the United States.

Key Contributions:• Security Team Development—Rebranded the security team with new uniforms, body armor, body-worn cameras, and other defensive tools. Implemented related policies and training. • Survey Readiness—Participated in 2 Joint Commission Surveys, 2 AHCA Life Safety Surveys, and HFAP initial accreditation survey.• Employee Engagement—In one year, led the transformation of the security department from one of the lowest engagement scores in the organization to being in the top 10. Chaired the Employee Activities Committee. • Stop the Bleed—Collaborated with other leaders to bring the Stop the Bleed initiative to the organization. Trained leaders to be trainers and rolled out training to all staff. • Workplace Violence Prevention and Mitigation—Employed data to develop mitigation strategies to reduce the likelihood of escalation of patients to verbal or physical aggression. Developed and facilitated training and executed drills. Stood up a Workplace Violence Prevention Committee. • Victims of Violence—Created a protocol to respond to patients presenting with injuries from community violence. Protocol reduces risk to the facility and personnel by ensuring immediate response actions and threat assessment actions are taken.• Aggression Management—Instated and implemented requirements for aggression management training for security personnel and other designated responders.

Recruited for Security Manager and later also assumed responsibility for Emergency Management. Responsible for all security program functions at 346-bed suburban medical center campus. Key Contributions:• Clinic Security Program—Developed and implemented standards for security systems and the medical center’s off-site clinics that included cameras, access controls, alarms, and training for employees. • Code Silver (Active Shooter) Education—Created and delivered training to all medical center departments and ran a series of drills over the course of a year. • Progressive Certification—Instated and implemented certification through the International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety for all security personnel. • Emergency Management (EM), Campus Security and Infant Security Committees—Chaired the EM Committee. Created the Campus Security Committee to engage non-hospital clinics and other entities on the campus as well as community first-responders. Created the Infant Security Committee to engage clinical employees in Labor and Delivery, Mother-Baby, and Neonatal Intensive Care with the goal of addressing system and policy issues related to the security of our most vulnerable patients. • Awarded Leader of the Month by Executive Leadership. • Awarded Emergency Department Staff Member of the Month by the Emergency Physician’s Group.

At Mason County Christian School I led the faculty in providing quality elementary and middle school education. I gave overall direction to the academic program and assisted the board in strategic planning including analyzing the business model and proposing solutions to persistent financial issues facing non-profit, private educational institutions. Under my leadership MCCS implemented business practices aimed at strengthening the school's book of business and upholding it's core values. My duties at MCCS also included teaching middle school mathematics, leading weekly chapels, interviewing prospective families, discipline and student/family relations, responding and resolving conflicts, account management, and public relations.

Recruited for supervisory position and quickly promoted to Security Manager at North Mountain Hospital, a Level-1 Trauma hospital in north metro Phoenix. Later, also assumed responsibility for security operations at Deer Valley Hospital in the northern suburb of Phoenix. Key Contributions: • Suicide Prevention—Produced a 14-minute video based upon a new suicide prevention policy. This video was still being used as recently as 2017 in the orientation of all clinical new-hires. • Training Series—Created a series of five, 10-minute videos for security department training. Topics included report writing, communication, crisis intervention, and safety.• Department of Homeland Security Grant—Worked with other security leaders and foundation grant writer to obtain a $75K grant for target hardening activities. When the grant was awarded, served as grant administrator to ensure implementation of mitigation strategies.
