After losing close friends and overcoming homelessness, I became a community organizer, helping launch community development initiatives and programs. As a community organizer, I have worked with non-profits around the issues of housing, education, the environment, neighborhoods, economic justice, labor and criminal justice reform.I would finish college, earn a bachelors degree in Urban Studies and a masters degree in Public Administration.I helped create an organization that works with homeless and at-risk youth to help them become self sufficient and contributing members of society. In 2017, I was elected to a two year term on the Worcester School Committee where I fought for a more equitable school system.My wife and I recently moved to Washington DC. I am currently attending American University's Masters in Teaching program and look forward to teaching social studies.
