The global environmental crises we face are widely acknowledged; biodiversity loss, climate change, and various forms of pollution are issues that require innovative social-ecological solutions, not merely documentation. From both a personal and professional perspective, I am passionately interested in how we can promote the necessary change to address these issues and how we can engage in adaptive management to enhance the efficacy of our proposed actions.The diagnosis and resolution of complex social-ecological problems requires analytical, integrative, and creative thought that is conveyed through clear communication. I endeavor to be methodical in my collection and analysis of qualitative and quantitative data, and as an analytical and critical thinker, I seek to diagnose problems and design detailed, yet context-conscious solutions. My graduate studies enhanced my communication skills by allowing me to convey diverse environmental topics to an array of audiences in various media, settings, and languages. In all of my formal and informal communications, I strive to be clear, comprehensive, concise, and compelling. I am adaptable to diverse topics, environments, and styles of work, but I am steadfast in my commitment to bettering our planet through thoughtful social-ecological research and action.
