Quality Assurance Manager
As Quality Assurance Manager I am responsible for the day-to-day management of a technical/QA team, providing direction, motivation, technical support, and guidance and acting as a quality champion for the EU software development organization. I am the technical leader of the QA team, leading by example from a technical and leadership perspective. I work with peers and senior management to establish and communicate quality assurance policy. This role has a direct impact, authority, and responsibility for the GHX Customer Experience, by directing policy on quality assurance and developmental processes and therefore allowing a smooth software product implementation and functioning for GHX customers.This position is responsible for, but not limited to the following duties:• Co-ordinate teams of internal & external QA Engineers to ensure that the products have an acceptable level of test coverage and that the approach taken is aligned across the organization• Be the change management quality gate for EU Production releases• Work with peers and senior management to define quality standards within the EU organization• Direct the development and reporting on automation testing & smoke testing• Own the efforts to diagnose and analyze test results, identify problems & reporting on them • Develop a Quality strategy within the EU development organization• Communicate Defect trends & other metrics to management• Work with HR to create/update job descriptions for QA hires• Responsible for the hiring, feedback, training, guidance, and career planning of team members.• Line manage Quality Assurance Engineers / Software Engineers• Establish QA best practices within the global organization• Coordinate and lead incident response within the team’s scope• Coordinate and plan release processes for deliverables within the team, involving all stakeholders and ensuring communication needs are met
