At this position it is essential for the Head Instructor to have very strong oral communication skills as well as to be patient, with a result oriented focus. A strong initiative and attention to detail helps adapt to situations and ensure the safety of students and instructors on the ice. As a Head Instructor it is my job to work with students and other instructors to develop the student's skill in a phase building style of learning which includes basic, situational and themed drills.
