Prentiss Dantzler is an Associate Professor in the Department of Sociology and Director of the Housing Justice Lab within the School of Cities at the University of Toronto. His research interests include poverty, race, housing policy and community development. As an urban scholar, Prentiss is interested in the dynamics surrounding neighborhoods change and how communities and policymakers create and react to those changes. He received his Ph.D. in Public Affairs with a concentration in Community Development from the Department of Public Policy & Administration at Rutgers University - Camden. Prentiss holds a B.S. from Penn State University and a M.P.A. from West Chester University.
