I work with clients to improve their business processes and make advancement to their bottom line with the use of technology. I work not only with existing teams but also as a solo team building and designing new applications to expand business capabilities. I have also rebuilt and redesigned existing applications to modernize them giving improved user experience for their customers.

I mentored a team of 30+ .net software engineers in all areas of the business. I was the number one .net expert in the company and worked daily with the engineers to give them guidance and best practices regarding the use of .net. I also worked with many of them on the requirements gathering process to find architectural solutions that fit the needs of their end users.

I lead a .net team for the life insurance business line. We managed existing, and built new processes to allow Select Quote to work with new insurance companies as well improve relationships with existing insurance companies.

Provide and Implement solutions for Real-time (Streaming) data integration, analytics, and visualization. I have focused on increasing the companies technical capabilities in regards to getting information in the hands of business decision makers faster. I have created new API interfaces for making it easy to integrate data between sytems driving our salesfloor call center. I have created cloud ready applications for streaming data to PowerBI using Azure Kubernetes Services and built using .NET Core.

Our team mission is to increase data quality, transparency, and integration between systems and end users. My team leads the effort in the organization for creation solutions to provide insight into the valuable data that is housed within the organization. This includes data integration, data warehousing, business intelligence, and ad-hoc data solutions for both Real-Time and End of Day processing. Currently utilizing the Microsoft stack for business intelligence, including SSIS, Azure Data Factory, SSAS, SQL, Azure SQL DW, and Power BI. I also lead and coach Jr. Developers in improving code quality and helping them grow their skill sets by conforming to SOLID principles as well as teaching them core software design patterns. My responsibilities have included providing the company with new strategies on data integration, data quality, and utilizing the our most valuable data assets to run, grow and transform the business. I lead an Agile Scrum team of developers and data quality specialist. I am also involved in green-field projects by developing, design (architect), and implementing new software applications.

Provided business intelligence solutions for the Risk department and for the company based on data generated and maintained by the department. I was the project lead and lead developer for the data warehouse and dashboard for the companies client on-boarding process. This helped the organization gain insight into the statistics around the number of clients were being on-boarded. Also included statistics about how well the process performed as it went through the workflow process. I also created a couple solutions to provide insight around positional data and the risk profile held by clients and the organization.

My responsibilities at KCBT included Application Developer, Database Administrator, Business Intelligence Expert, Network Engineer/Administrator, Systems Integrator, Systems Analyst, Systems Engineer and Project Manager in a wide variety of business applications. This includes Trade Floor Operations, Market Data Distribution, Trade Floor Client Infrastructure, Clearing, Market Regulatory Systems, Risk Systems, Accounting, and Membership.I designed several FIX data specifications for post trade processing, market surveillance systems, clearing systems, and trade floor systems. My last project was building a Real-Time Market Surveillance application utilizing .NET, Visiblox WPF API and SQL Server StreamInsight. I excelled at ensuring the design of the server side application meets requirements and leading the development team based off of the requirements. I developed the client side application to Chart incoming FIX messages and present real-time statistics on the data. I built the entire Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence infrastructure on top of Microsoft SQL Server using SSAS, SSIS, and SSRS. Much of the reports were displayed using a SharePoint 2010 site and utilizing Performance Point 2010 within that site. Most of this was used for Market Surveillance and statistical analysis. I designed all of the databases and maintained the daily integrity of those databases. I designed and setup the entire VMware environment for Production and DR. Using InMage Replication software to provide CDP for the production environment in DR. I worked with Dell Servers, Dot Hill iSCSI SANs, Dell MD3000i SAN, Brocade VDX iSCSI Fabric Switches and VMware. I re-architected the internal LAN from being a non-manageable flat network to an Enterprise Class network built on top of Palo Alto Firewalls, and Cisco switches, later converted to Brocade's Fast Iron SX 1600 chassis for improved redundancy and decreased long-term network support costs.
