About Daniel Waintroob
More than 40 years experience working with energy companies and end users to meet their strategic and tactical goals. He is an expert in how to develop and use consumer energy utilization data as well how to rapidly design and implement projects. He has been involved with numerous energy service projects for both commercial and industrial endeavors. Under his direction, over 1.5 million customers received energy billing analysis and some 20,000 commercial energy audits were performed. Recently, he led a number of innovative energy efficiency programs for in Illinois, Pennsylvania, North Carolina and Michigan. In the past, he provided consultative support to FIDE in Mexico and the government of the Peoples Republic of China on how to establish an energy services industry in their countries as well as advice to the state owned electric companies in Senegal and Ghana. He has addressed an extensive range of issues, from energy supply policy for the New England region, to a strategic information system plan for an African electric company, to home weatherization and low-income fuel assistance. He has been involved with the start-up of two energy service companies, and recently supported the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission in its investigation of the Western Power Markets in 2003.Specialties: Experience in managing commercial, industrial and residential energy efficiency programs, including their design, implementation, and assessment. The utility is now implementing the plan.Developed a marketing plan for a firm that specializes in database marketing solutions for utilities.Led an assessment of information technology options for the Electric Power Reform Committee of the Government of Ghana. The focus was on the needs of the distribution utilities that were being restructured.Assisted a Canadian company in introducing an innovative multimedia (CD-ROM) training program into the U.S. market.

Directed a $10 million operation with 45 professionals providing services for energy utilities throughout the U.S. Led the customization of the company's products and the management of the projects, which enabled Hydro-Québec to provide services for 1.5 million customers in an 18-month period.Led the design of an enhanced call center management tool, for a New York utility. Implemented a rapid response profitability assessment methodology to ensure that actions were taken quickly to help restore the company's profit in the following year.Managed all aspects of the company's software product line including marketing, R&D investments, pricing strategies and the sales of related services. Established dominant market share including selling energy audit services to all seven of the New York electric utilities. Sold over $30 million in services and license fees. Introduced several new products and services to triple revenues in five years.

A key player in the start up of an $8 million program to provide energy audits throughout Massachusetts. Mr. Waintroob provided an implementation plan that was certified by the State. The implemented program was directed at landlords. This included market research, product design, direct sales, public relations, and regulatory compliance.
