We have many different positions that the Veterinary Technicians fill, based on their experience, and abilities. My main responsibility is working with the Veterinarians on appointments. As the appointments come in, I’m the first to meet with our clients and gather information on the animals medical history. I check vaccine records, and gather information on current condition. After that I acquire any samples needed for our various forms of testing (blood, stool, or urine being the main three), and pull up any vaccines that the animal may need, for the Veterinarian to administer.

I was the caretaker of 10-20 dogs and cats residing in our boarding facility and those who dropped off for Daycare. My responsibilities included walking, feeding, and administering medications to the animals under my care.

I Attended NVCC and got my associates degree in Biology/General Sciences. I used this degree to transfer to Old Dominion University.
