Primary duties were to advise and counsel Undergraduate and Graduate students. Student body was comprised mostly of working adults in the Indianapolis area who were looking to earn their first college degree. Helped students learn to balance their work and personal life along with their classroom obligations. Students took evening classes and weekend classes. In this position I learned to mix "empathy with tough love" as I sought to encourage the students toward graduation.

Served as a Credit Counselor for a large non-profit organization. Developed Debt Repayment Plans for individuals and families experiencing financial hardship. Negotiated on client's behalf with attorneys, banks, collection agencies, credit card companies and the IRS. Facilitated Money Management and Budget Workshops to local community organizations. Mentored new credit counselors and oversaw an active client base in excess of 200 clients.
