In my role as the Director of Development & Planned Giving, I assisted donors and alumni in accomplishing their philanthropic goals through strategic use of gifts of cash, equities, gift annuities, gifts of real estate, trusts, bequests, and other non-cash giving options. Along with major and planned giving responsibilities, I directly supervised a portion of CCU’s major and annual giving development team and excelled as an integral part of an efficient development team of three front-line fundraisers. Team accomplishments included $16M+ in contributions and pledges in less than two years for Phase 1 of CCU's Capital Campaign.

As the Director of Development & Alumni Relations I was responsible for securing major gifts by engaging an assigned portfolio of prospects -- primarily alumni -- to reach goals and to benefit the students and faculty of CCU. Additionally, I coordinated and planned the alumni engagement strategy and annual giving program for all three years. This encompasses the broad communication, cultivation and stewardship of prospects to support the development department’s goals.

I managed a team of 16 people all serving in various functions. The positions I managed included: line tellers, head tellers, and financial service consultants – all positions which I held at some point during my tenure at First Community Credit Union. Other duties included: sales forecasting, product sales implementation, scheduling, and general management functions required for a financial institution.
