I believe that insurance is an apex industry. One that shapes and dictates how society, business and government behaves. I believe that, given such a privileged position, insurance has a moral responsibility to engage not just with the small-scale risks we face, but with the biggest systemic risks facing people and planet: ageing populations, threats to democracy itself, biodiversity loss, mass global migration, and technology addiction, among many others.I believe that we can use the power of insurance to shape behaviours, and create incentives, to directly tackle these issues.
