I conceptualized and am currently focused on a start-up project, the creation of a brainstorming tool, Idea Street, that will eventually combine with Thought-Flow. Utilize React, JavaScript, TypeScript, Webpack, AWS, CSS, and Immer to develop a notetaking and organizational tool for people with focus issues. Features will group notes using tags, manipulate related notes, and hide notes, with the ultimate goal of delivering a fast voice-to-text feature. Thought-Flow is focused on UI manipulation of notes, like resizing and drag and drop as a mind-mapping tool. During this period, I was contracted to one of the largest corporate investment banking firms in the US to design and enhance the front-end frameworks of payment applications. Improved functionality and accessibility of a 10-year-old Ember.js application. Contributed to the development of a new internal payment application in React within a large multi-team environment, sharing UI component libraries and backend services for many separate projects.Key Achievements♦ Improved front-end accessibility features, including usability and functional changes to existing payment forms within the bank’s Ember.js application. - Promoted and contributed to advancing front-end testing practices in partnership with the QA team. - Contributed to unit and integration test writing using QUnit and end-to-end test creation using an in-house implementation of Cucumber.♦ Partnered with a UI developer to design and build the front-end of a new internal payments product using React. Designed an internal logic module, providing a highly secure method of addressing dynamic field changes that did not need to hit the server and handling those that required a server request for new data. - Wrote unit and integration tests with Jest and React Testing Library and Gherkin step definitions using Groovy for end-to-end tests. - Applied Snyk to scan for vulnerabilities and drive regular library updates for security purposes.

Transitioned to Senior Developer following organizational restructuring, onboarding and leading 3 developers in designing and developing a Java-based document export system that processes Adobe InDesign and Photoshop files. Designed and coded a Java engine for adding contextual content to XML representations. During this period, I was engaged by a diversity of small businesses to design, develop, implement, and support web applications utilizing Java. Key Achievements ♦ Designed a scalable and secure J2EE web application and data transfer system that enabled a health club franchise to manage members, employees, and financial data. ♦ Integral contributor in design of a web-based content-on-demand advertising tool for a car dealership. Enabled individual dealers to create customized advertisements based on templates using a dynamic Flash file generation tool created in Java and jGenerator, a cutting-edge solution at the time.
