Covering Fire Alarm Installation, Commissioning, Servicing & Repairs to BS5839. 10 years experience of fault diagnoses, system repairs and system alterations with a number of conventional, open protocol addressable systems and specialist detection equipment.

My new roll covers all requirements of fire detection and alarm commissioning, ensuring that an installed system is fully functioning and documented when it is handed over to the Responsible Person for the customer. I have been involved in sites with specific cause and effects, testing and configuring specialist detection equipment and fire alarm panel networking. I have mainly worked with Advanced, Gent and Morley control panels in this roll.

My first role at Kings could be described as a liaison between the project managers and the installation engineers involved in special projects. I could also say was often the primary technical point of contact for the customer. My responsibilities included schedule preparation, pre-planning, overall quality control of the work and other technical activities relating to the project. Kings Systems department covered all aspects of Fire Alarm Detection, Intruder Alarm Systems, CCTV and Access Control.

I worked with Faelsafe as a service engineer, but some installation work was also included. My main role was to undertake maintenance, fault-finding and repair of fire alarm systems within all types of environments. I worked with a variety of systems such as Hochiki and Apollo XP95 protocols, and Kentec, Morley, C-Tec control equipment. I also worked on the Arla Foods project in Aylesbury carrying out installation and some commissioning. Sadly this company went into administration.

I worked with this company for over 6 years; Phoenix Fire is a small Keighley based company that offer installation, maintenance and repair services of conventional and open protocol addressable fire alarms, emergency lighting, security systems and Quantec nurse call systems. The majority of the company’s business arrived through recommendation from existing and past customers. My role with this company was to undertake all services the company offered. This did include installation planning and preparation, team leading and even a provider of technical support for other engineers. The company worked with all aspects of fire detection systems, including ASD and Intrinsically Safe detection. I earned a large technical understanding of all types of related systems with this company and a good understanding of the fire industry.

Covering Electrical, Automation, Fire & Security. This roll covered installation and maintenance for the Harrison Beds Factory in Leeds.

I was a first year apprentice when I began working for Keybury, I was working and learning from experienced engineers installing burglar alarms, CCTV, Access Control and Fire Alarm Systems. I earned a good understanding of basic installation and all types of related work with this company and a good understanding of its industry.
