Provide comprehensive intake briefings and interviews with clients to include educating them on all aspects of their case, medical condition, disability evaluation system, and potential outcomes of their case including return to duty, severance pay, Department of Veteran’s Affairs disability ratings and retirement options. Drafts contentions, participate in client and witness interviews, assemble evidence to be used during formal board hearings, and assist with the preparation of client testimony. Also, drafts appeals to the Secretary of Air Force Personnel Council and the Department of Veterans Affairs for attorney review. Finally, plays a vital role in internal and Air Force-wide outreach and training events for the ODC.
