As a Desk Assistant at University of North Texas at Dallas in the Residence Hall, I am responsible for greeting the residents and guests as they walk into the building. Along with that I check in all guests as they come in. I am also responsible for all maintenance requests that the residents have in regards to their room, supplies they want to check out, and making sure that the front of the building stays in great condition so that the residents feel welcomed and secure in their temporary “home” away from home.

Dallas/Fort Worth Area

First Service Residential was a summer seasonal job. I was responsible for signing in the residents that had access to the pool, keeping up maintenance on the pool, and making sure the restroom facilities were above acceptable for the guests. Since I was the only worker at this pool, I made sure to accommodate all the guests as much as I could. If someone gained access to the pool without actually having the correct accreditation to do so, then I was responsible for removing them. I was also responsible for documenting what was happening by the hour, and making sure the pool levels where staying within a reasonable range for the guests to swim.
