I serve as the Operations Officer for a new, agile team within NATO - the Air Support Operations Cell (ASOC) - balancing a busy schedule as we support several countries and multinational warfighting corps. The team delivers real-time airpower and effects to friendly forces on the ground and ensures cross-functional, cross-domain coherence. In this role I am able to hone my product management skills, defining scope, projecting milestones, drafting requirements, and leading the team in transforming an experimental prototype to Minimum Viable Product. I thrive in the small-team, move fast and iterate environment, where we are creating the standards and procedures to be used across NATO.

I am a Crew Lead at NATO's sole deployable Control and Reporting Center, ensuring top-level strategy is effectively carried out in daily operations. I leverage both technical and soft skills, leading multi-cultural teams in challenging, high-pressure environments. My biggest and most interesting accomplishment has been driving the unit's first-ever integration with Germany's air control system as a response to the Russia-Ukraine conflict. The most rewarding experience has been introducing the Scrum framework to the team and seeing how it vastly improves the timeline and product quality for a hi-visibility dashboard.

As Chief of Synthetics for our deployable C2 unit, I led a multinational team in developing simulations to prepare crews for deployments and exercises. I acted as simulation director, ensuring the pilots accurately replicate the air picture and other C2 entities. Lastly, I oversaw the Simulation Pilot Course, managing syllabi and training members from both Weapons and Surveillance backgrounds how to best provide realistic training. Overall, my proudest accomplishment was delivering the largest-ever simulation series the unit has ever seen.

I served as an E-3 Instructor, Evaluator, and Flight Commander at the Formal Training Unit, developing and delivering curriculum during a transformative period for the E-3 AWACS. In my time there, we went through Agile, Continuous Process Improvement sprints and a career field adaptation that saw the highest number of graduates in several years, all while navigating restrictive Covid-19 mitigation protocols. It was a fast-paced, highly agile workplace that was rewarding because I was empowered to shape the future generations of Air Battle Managers.

I honed my technical and problem solving skills while stationed in Japan, participating in some of the most challenging military exercises as both a planner and aircrew. In this position, I learned several planning methodologies, how to document in detail, and provide pinpointed feedback for improvement. This culminated in contributing to 2 chapters of AFTTP 3-3.IPE, a planning and execution standard used worldwide.
