Ventia (previously Broadspectrum/Transfield Services) are a leading provider of services to the Resources, Power, Transport, Defence, and Infrastructure industries in the ANZ region.In this role, I developed the executive talent acquisition and internal succession programs, which included championing our employer brand and engaging with key talent for the business and its contracts across Australia, New Zealand and international operations.

In this role I established the in-house Strategic Sourcing function at Lion. This was a company that strives to be fun, refreshing and challenging and I was fortunate and proud to be involved in developing a highly capable team, which delivered significant improvements from increased search capability and talent pooling to deploying leading edge approach to online and social media branding and engagement.Working across ANZ, I delivered on the core purpose to “enrich our world every day by championing sociability and helping people to live well” by championing the brands and engaging with great people. This encompassed the breadth of talent acquisition, leading executive recruitment, and connecting with multiple communities in a way that delivered value to both people and business.Day to day responsibilities included developing and driving employer brand and value propositions, implementing a new sourcing model, being a thought leader for talent management, promoting diversity through the organisation, and assisting with large scale transformation and innovation projects.

Here I founded my own executive search and HR consulting business, which I successfully grew and led for five years with two partners. I was accountable for leading projects and programs for a variety of Australasian businesses.Responsibilities included consulting to various organisations on sourcing techniques, recruitment, search and selection, and marketing and communications to senior and executive level professionals.

In this role I consulted to various national and multinationals; providing employer branding advice and establishing “best in class” models and systems throughout the recruitment process so that my clients were able to source and recruit key professionals at senior and executive levels.I introduced process improvements and key performance measures to monitor market trends and analyse the ROI for a variety of channels to market.

I was part of a highly successful team that won new business, explored new avenues of activity, and grew market presence across Eastern Europe and the Middle East.We put together bids for new work, negotiated multi-million pound contracts, and sourced high-performance teams to execute a range of construction, drilling, and extraction projects.

Working through the Barclays M&A team, I was an on-site Commercial Manager for recently acquired businesses in the Technology portfolio.I helped assess business cases and was seconded to an acquisition (Commensus) to grow the business and, reporting into the Group Leadership Team, I helped execute a 3 year plan to build and sell a telecoms provider.
