My key task is to develop five strategies for media outreach campaigns on Energy Efficiency in residential, commercial and public buildings, focusing on the general public in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda and Burundi, considering project and countries’ budget in all partner countries; including the creation of the first East Africa Energy Efficiency in Buildings Award at the end of the project cycle in 2015.

My main duty is to oversee the development of advertising and promotional campaigns of the company. Working in conjunction with media, sales, finance as well as creative staff, we aim to create a campaign that meets the client or company’s expectations.

Liaising with IHS Netherlands, and UN-HABITAT to develop a Diploma Programme in Urban Development Studies for Local Authorities and their stakeholders in East Africa-

The main task was to: support the Kisumu Municipal Council, Project Steering Committee and key stakeholders to implement the UN-HABITAT’s Kisumu Solid Waste Management Project (KISWAMP); document the project and raise its visibility within the Lake Victori region with the aim of promoting best practices and prepare policy briefs synthesized from the ‘National Workshop on Institutionalizing Urban Environmental Management in Kenya’.

•Developing and implementing the communication strategy for UN-HABITAT’s Lake Victoria City Development Strategies Initiative funded by Sida•Strengthening networking and communication of local authorities in the Lake Victoria Region with a view to contributing to a regional framework for improved urban environment and poverty reduction•Awareness raising, lobbying and advocacy through collaborative activities by all towns/ cities meant to make the Lake Victoria Region more visible•Organizing a clean up drive for all the towns/cities around Lake Victoria Region•Organizing cultural events and sports activities in the towns/cities and culminating to a regional competitive event on the clean up day•Co-ordinating the preparation and production of awareness raising materials and liaising with media to publicize UN- HABITAT initiatives
