I am playful, strong, wildly in love with nature and insatiably curious. As a child, I spent a lot of time in nature. I’m not afraid to get dirty. Nothing could stop me from exploring the world around me. My parents would take us to the woods of the Poconos or to the beach where we would be outside all day long boating, swimming, fishing and collecting flowers. My mother was imaginative, creative, artistic— and the most important person in my life. We spent endless hours together in the garden… making flower rings for our hair, tying clover flowers together for bracelets, gathering arms-full of flowers to bring back to the house for pressing and drying, and her herb & spice blend business that served as a source for our “fun money” growing up. She planted seeds of devotion and adoration for the natural world in my heart from a young age, which continued to blossom into adulthood. I dedicated my early professional life to environmental causes, landing a career in energy audits which eventually led to a more lucrative job investing in historic and low income property portfolios. I loved the financial abundance and the many perks that came with it, but unexpected change was around the corner. My mother spent two years in a health crisis, was approaching full recovery, and then died unexpectedly. It was one of the worst experiences of my life. As if that wasn’t enough, I was soon after diagnosed with cancer— twice. Though this illness initiation profoundly tested my trust in my own body and my ability to heal, I’ve discovered a new superpower of empathy that I can offer those who are chronically and acutely ill.Specialties: BPI BALEED Green Associate
