Competed for a place on the Trial Team through a tryout process in the fall semester. One of the 4 students selected as a member of the 2020 Trial Team. Prepare to compete in the National Trial Competition Regionals in February 2020. Write the openings, direct examinations, cross examinations, and closing arguments for both the plaintiff and the defendant in the regional problem. Weekly meetings, emails, and trial advocacy sessions to prepare to advocate for each party.

Assisted attorneys involved in this project to work with people who are trying to get back on their feet and need to restore their driver's license to do so. Communicate with clients and provide support to the pro bono attorneys as they advocate in municpal courts and the Traffic Tribunal.

Conduct research and advise Justice Procaccini during trial and pre-trial proceedings. Analyze multiple cases including associated pleadings, motions, and exhibits. Research case law and statutory law including elements of money laundering, the 5th Amendment, and the attorney-client privilege. Assess legal arguments made by parties. Observe additional court proceedings such as bench trials, oral arguments and plea hearings.

Assist in loan monitoring and portfolio management processes for both partners in the Title-Attorney Firm. Co-manage client relationships throughout the closing and refinancing process. Order titles on clients properties. Create and submit title commitments to loan officers. Work with city collectors to ensure payments, taxes, and deeds are current and recorded. Connect with clients and attorney’s with courteous and professional communication, scan documents, record official paperwork, and prepare and collect check requests.
