With over 15 years of Human Resources experience in both corporate and start-up environments, I have spent my career in a variety of industries. Currently, I lead all Human Resources for Waypoint Insurance, a leading BC broker for Commercial, Personal and Auto insurance and a proud Navacord brokerage partner. Prior to this, I led all things People & Culture for Choom, an elevated retail cannabis company in the evolving legal Canadian cannabis industry, with store locations across British Columbia, Alberta and Ontario. Before Choom, I led the HR function at Knix, a women’s apparel ecommerce company where I was accountable for the foundational build out of the HR function for a rapidly growing startup. I have also spent several years at Aritzia as an HR business partner for various departments during my tenure, both at Aritzia's head office in Vancouver, BC and in the field for Aritzia's biggest market in Ontario with 30+ boutique stores. My HR background extends beyond retail brands with time spent at large corporations including technology giant AOL and in professional services with Altus Group, a global leader of commercial real estate services and software. My sweet spot is a growth environment or an environment ready for change, partnering and understanding the business in order to identify, diagnose then develop proactive solutions to ultimately support the business, drive productivity, engagement, attraction and retention. I am passionate about what I do and am involved in all aspects of the business, which includes leading and executing on all People & Culture strategies, operations and programs.I hold an Honours Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto, am a Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) through the Human Resources Professional Association in Ontario, and have been trained through the Coaches Training Institute.
