Following my graduation from the College of Wooster, I served a year with AmeriCorps as a VISTA through Ascend Indiana, where I am currently employed full-time. I am supporting the capacity building of the Ascend team by assisting with onboarding, creating and implementing onboarding materials through Ascend's first learning management system, drafting training materials, conducting research, and providing cross-functional support.I graduated with honors and magna cum laude from the College of Wooster as a double-major in Global and International Studies and Russian Studies. For my Senior Independent Study thesis, I wrote about rap as a form of political protest in Russia, which includes political and historical analysis as well as a translation project. I studied Russian abroad in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan and Irkutsk, Russia. Additionally, I was awarded the Foreign Language and Areas Study (FLAS) grant from the U.S. Dept. of Education to study Russian the summer of 2019 at Indiana University for eight weeks during the Summer Language Workshop. I seek opportunities that let me utilize my interdisciplinary majors to play an active role in our globalized world. I aspire to work for a federal agency or non-profit organization that works to improve people's well-being on any scale - whether at home or across the globe.Qualifies for federal non-competitive eligibility (NCE) for June 2021 - June 2022.
