I would like to introduce my self to you: Designed, implemented and oversaw the training and performance evaluations for volunteers that included multi-cultural competency. Worked with all local Program Coordinators to promote, monitor and assess referrals and training as needed for the areas of Care Consultations, Early Stage, Younger Onset, and Multi-Cultural Resources. Conduct regular updates of Association tip sheets, resource materials and referral lists both local and regional as well as National and scientific notifications. Supervised and monitored the volunteers who man the Helpline phones daily though an atmosphere of trust, fun and confidentiality. Promoted and encouraged Helpline volunteers to participate in Alzheimer’s workshops, education classes, special events and related programs. Facilitated the Alzheimer’s African American support group as a way of expanding Helpline resources and outreach.

Developed, created and implemented monthly family nights, community activity events and programs that provide support services which taught empowerment and built resiliency. Used these same techniques to increasing the number of mentors and their retention.

Communicated and assisted with any needs, issues or concerns between the directors, board members, out-side contractors, program leads, other organizations and the community.
