Conduct comprehensive analysis of Division of Child Protection (DCP) investigations to assess for potential willful misconduct and quality of policy and case practices as it relates to the safety and risk of NYC Children.Complete case reviews by utilizing Connections Software and other data resources; prepare reports and recommendations for evaluations of operations.Identify critical safety and risk issues, utilize data to analyze program and operational performance trends in casework practice, and complete written safety/risk alerts that clearly convey findings requiring immediate attention by DCP. Comprehensive audit summaries highlighting and providing statistical information supporting concerns of efficiency of each audited staff. Confidentiality is critical, given the nature of the job.

Investigate reports of abuse/neglect of children. Assessment of current or future risk to children by interviewing parents, family, and collateral members; Child Protective Specialists collaborate with local police dept. and detectives as an Instant Response Team to tackle extreme cases of child abuse/neglect.Initiate appropriate legal action and/or testify in court to achieve protection or permanent placement plans for children.
