About Daphne Sorensen

I am the CEO of MiracleFeet, an organization working to end the disability caused by untreated clubfoot. Alongside our partners, we are expanding access to high-quality clubfoot treatment for children in +38 countries in Africa, Asia, and Latin America.I am a creative and strategic leader and “big-picture” thinker committed to social justice and human rights. I have extensive experience in rights-based programming, community & organizational development, child participation and newborn/child health. I have spent 25 years leading teams and multi-sector development programs in Mozambique, Bolivia, Panama, Uganda, and my home country of Brazil. In my current role I oversee five directors and have a track record of creatively and skillfully resolving challenges and increasing organizational impact. I truly (really!) like to problem-solve and I love developing that skill in others. I believe the way we get things done matters just as much as achieving results, thus I try to bring empathy, positive energy, creativity, and humor to my work and with my team.
