Artist Statement I live to shed light on the beauty of life. In my quest to do so, I use photography as a medium for storytelling, documentation, as well as a means to preserve the cultural richness of the human family. I am particularly passionate about making images that highlight the unique traditions and enduring heritage of people of color across the world. I’ve traveled to distant and remote areas in an effort to form deeper connections to Africa and its diaspora.I often employ bold colors and high contrast in my editing process to allow the dynamic details of a subject and their surroundings to completely immerse the viewer in a moment in time. This artistic choice grants me the opportunity to interact with a memory with greater intimacy. By embellishing an image, I am able to revisit a certain scene with a touch of surrealism. It’s also a gesture at capturing the bright, spirited emotions felt when witnessing those majestic, seemingly otherworldly sights.

I launched a Creative Agency and Collective in Brooklyn, working directly with top brands like New Balance and Gucci to create compelling content. By collaborating with Marketing and Advertising teams, I developed innovative campaigns that elevated brand visibility and engagement. The primary goal of the agency is to focus on stories of people of color (POC), ensuring their voices and experiences are authentically represented in the work we produce.
