I graduated with a BSc in medical and pharmacological sciences in Coventry university and was asked to continue into a MSc in pharmacology and drug discovery. Building on this strong foundation I started work at Richmond Pharmacology where I rotated through all the clinical and laboratory departments. I was seconded to the Pharmacovigilance department where I spent a full year learning and developing my safety monitoring skill set. Here I learnt how to monitor for toxicity and report AESI and SAE within a heavily regulated MHRA environment in both first in human and patient cohorts. I have worked with CRSPR-Cas9 and silencing mRNA technology. I have developed close multidisciplinary team working relationships with specialists related to Pharmacovigilance. I am passionate about patient safety and the opportunity to benefit future patients from clinical trials.
