Having gained a first class honours PGCE equivalent in Dublin, I began my teaching career sixteeen years ago in London. In this time, I have worked in a variety of schools ranging from inner-city comprehensives such as Globe Academy to Independent and Grammar schools such as Tiffin Girls' School. However, in all schools, I have had a consistent record of facilitating students to achieve outstanding examination results. In February 2012, I was rated 'outstanding' by the Lead Inspector of Ofsted at The Harrodian School. Additionally, I have been in charge of Literacy across the Curriculum along with having been Head of Year whilst at Globe Academy. As a tutor, I cater for children aspiring to achieve their maximum potential. I have successfully helped children gain entry into the following academically selective schools at both 11+ & Common Entrance: St Paul's Girls, Colet Court, Latymer Upper, Westminster, Godolphin & Latymer, Eton College, Winchester, King's College Wimbledon, City of London, L.E.H, North London Collegiate, Francis Holland, Putney High, Wimbledon High, Dulwich, Alleyns, Whitgift, Trinity and Emmanuel.Teaching, for me, is about sharing my passion for English, and hopefully, fostering a passion for the subject within my students that goes far beyond the constraints of examinations. Many of my students have gone on to study English for A level, having been taught by me at GCSE ,and have read English at Russell Group universities and Oxbridge.
