At Crawford W. Long Middle School in Atlanta, Georgia, I provided individual and group counseling to students, along with conducting classroom lessons and managing academics, absenteeism and behavior through a self created multi-tiered, multi-domain system of supports (MTMDSS). When consulting with parents and staff I engaged in behavior planning and interventions while managing program data and documentation. I maintained ethical standards and acted as a liaison between students and additional services. I advocated for equity and school-wide program development to maintain a comprehensive school counseling program under supervision.

The Collaborative Behavioral Health Workforce Education Training (BHWET II) is a fellowship program funded by the Health Resource & Services Administration (HRSA). The Clark Atlanta University Center for Inter-professional Collaborative Education (C-ICE) carried out this fellowship with a goal of exposing advanced level MSW, CMHC and School Counseling professionals to interdisciplinary behavioral health career trainings. Essentially expanding the workforce of practitioners serving populations across all life-spans, including medically underserved areas. My experience in the HRSA BHWET program developed my commitment to public service, community collaboration and leadership.
