This pioneering theatre company was founded with the intention of providing exciting, entertaining and energetic theatre of the highest professional standards to a young audience through the medium of Irish. One of our aims was to provethat Irish Language theatre could be attractive and appealing to a young sophisticated audience, and that drama as Gaeilge could adequately deal with the complexities of modern society, and reflect and express every aspect of contemporary society: to prove to young people that an Ghaeilge can be a vibrant, living and relevant language. Coupled with this aim was a desire to produce inventive andground-breaking theatre for young people. To achieve this, the company has made use of puppets, masks, shadows, music, sound and an array of highly visual techniques to develop a style not previously seen in children’s theatre, and in Irish Language Theatre in particular.From this company Meangadh Fíbín/Fibin Media was founded in 2008 which is a television and radio productioncompany. Our mission is to develop, show and finance creative programming for the domestic and international market. We are proud to be working closely with TG4 and are currently producing all of its preschool shows for the next 4 years 2018-22. We have sold our series international while also producing for other broadcasters.
