P&T Precision Engineering Limited specializes in the manufacturer of high-quality; precision machined parts and bespoke machines, for a diverse range of industries, such as military, aerospace, automotive, medical, printing, food, healthcare and pharmaceutical. Utilizing both, manual and CNC machines with CAD-CAM programming ability, using Autodesk Inventor, a 3D modeling software package. Our client list includes some of the world leading multinationals. • First point of contact with the customers’, involving, frequent travel to customers’ to attend meetings.• Designing suitable solutions to meet customers’ demands, including reverse engineering.• Responsible for the delivery of quality designs on time and within budgets agreed with the customer• 2D & 3D CAD Drafting (Autodesk AutoCAD and Inventor)• Creation of 3D part models with associated drawings and specifications required for the manufacturing process • Creation of 3D assemblies to investigate the overall design for functionality• Responsible for the development and implementation of technical solutions for equipment maintenance • Ability to design components with respects to ease of manufacture.• Troubleshoot customer production issues• Pricing projects, quoting customers, preparing documentation, preparing schedules with respect to public tenders/capital projects from initial design through to commissioning• Sourcing engineering components • Scheduling workload on the workshop floor • Responsible for driving change and drive continuous improvement

The position, held on a contract basis, involved the following task: Process capability studies of injection moulds, this involved the use of a CMM (Co-ordinate Measurement Machine) and OPP (Optical Profile Projector) in the metrology lab, and subsequent analysis of results using six-sigma/Cp standard.
