RESPONSIBILITIES> Lead the safety development at vehicle level / sub-system/ component specifications, through the development of vehicle specific design specifications.> Create FEA/CAE sign off plans to ensure that all safety performance aspects of the vehiclearchitecture meet the company internal, market driven and government homologation requirements (i.e. ADRs, ECEs, GBs, ANCAP, Euro NCAP, FMVSS, USNCAP, IIHS … etc.).> Manage physical and virtual FEA/CAE test plans at development phases to meet timing deliverables.> Organise test logistics globally to ensure timely execution of vehicles and parts at various test facilities. > Supervise test engineers to ensure that testing meets government legal specification requirements and consumer marketing metrics. > Supervise the implementation of the design modifications resulting from the test decision making.> Develop test budgets and forecasts to meet operational requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES> Manage the development of Vehicle Airbag Safety Sensing Systems from initial concept through to production.> Develop and balance Vehicle Airbag Sensing performance to meet Government Safety Regulations and Consumer Safety metrics.> Integrate performance objectives for the vehicle sensing systems from Design Release Engineers, Safety Performance Engineers, FEA/CAE Engineers, External Suppliers and Test labs.> Manage FEA/CAE simulations and Physical test schedules to meet vehicle development timing.> Monitor prototype and validation testing at internal and external test facilities to ensure test objectives are met. > Present findings of performance results to the Safety Attribute team and the Engineering community and persuade for desired outcome.> Coaching FEA/CAE engineers and external suppliers in the vehicle development processes.
