Lead and oversee City High, an exceptional and innovative school using cutting-edge practices to graduate students who are academically, technologically, personally and socially prepared to succeed in post-secondary education, training and/or employment. Serve as the School’s chief executive and administrative officer, assuring creative and strategic leadership consistent with the mission, values and culture. Previously ranked by U.S. News and World Report as a top-performing urban school, a sampling of City High best practices include: teacher looping; team teaching; internship component; project-based and personalized learning; job-embedded staff development; wellness services; and full inclusion in all classes of students with disabilities. City High offers year-round classes with school breaks occurring in April, August and December. Residents within Pittsburgh and Allegheny County can enroll.

Led the day-to-day operational and management aspects of the department as well as ensured coordination of services across the following areas: Athletics; Out-of-School Time and Afterschool Programs; Summer Dreamers Academy; College and Career Education & Guidance; School Culture and Climate Support; Magnet and Open Enrollment; Discipline and Alternative Education; Behavioral Health Services; Homeless Services; Bullying and Harassment; Crisis Planning and Response; Attendance Initiatives; Teen Parenting Services; Health Services and Nurses; Learning Environment Specialists; and Counselors and Social Workers. I also served as the District’s Title IX Officer.

Executed Leadership Pittsburgh Inc.'s flagship program: Leadership Pittsburgh including program design, planning, and implementation of the program. This involved on-going partnership development and cultivation, event planning, as well as management of sessions and evaluation of the program. Also responsible for special projects, alumni engagement, and management of the day-to-day operations of the organization.

Provided direction, leadership, and vision for all agency programs and support operations toward fulfillment of YouthWorks' mission to build a community solution to help young people whose potential might be overlooked to pursue employment and career development opportunities. Developed strategic partnerships, including close cooperation with area corporations and schools, which helped to raise revenues, enhance services to youth participants, and improve youth employment and the local youth workforce development system. Diversified YW's funding base with renewable sources in a climate of shrinking financial resources, including a first-ever individual giving campaign, securing new government grants, and launching a fee-for-service social venture.

Directed, managed, and developed the Educational Opportunity Center, a federal TRIO college access program, toward achievement of its mission within a 9-county area: help low-income, potential first-generation college adults, age 19 or older, begin or continue a program of postsecondary education

Assisted the Executive Director in administering program goals; supervised personnel; marketed YouthWorks program to major local employers; recruited youth from Pittsburgh Public Schools; oversaw job placement process; collaborated with City of Pittsburgh and Allegheny County staff to develop joint Request for Proposals (RFP) for youth employment programs; and managed contracts to community-based organizations awarded through a competitive RFP process.
