I am a clinician and researcher with a focus in neurological recovery and valuable experience in qualitative research methods, formal test administration, motivational interviewing, cognitive rehabilitation, data management, and technical writing. This experience includes work in acute, inpatient, outpatient, and telemedicine settings to promote clinical outcomes for both patients and caregivers. My experiences in both clinical and research realms make me approach projects with non-judgmental listening, data-centered thinking, and team collaboration.I am a graduate of Miami University (BS) and Indiana University-Bloomington (MA). There, I collaborated and practiced in concussion management programs, text-to-speech rates for improved comprehension in aphasia clientele, aphasia progression with discourse analysis, and qualitative interviewing of caregiver progression and experiences. My Master's Thesis project analyzing the caregiver impact from a family member having a stroke received recognition as a fellowship recipient from the Academy of Neurologic Communication Disorders and Sciences (ANCDS).
