I am honored to work with LAC’s NYS Policy Team on innovative and community-driven policy solutions to dismantle mass incarceration and rebuild our communities. On several projects, I work to bridge the gap between Upstate and NYC and bring provider perspectives to state agencies. We are working to expand the reentry and ATI programming and funding in NYS, make sure the money is going where it is needed, and educate local and state policymakers on the programs, needs, and gaps in our communities.

I am honored to be selected as a CAP Fellow for the summer of 2023. CAP is a rigorous program for graduate students in Public Policy, Law, and similar studies. Each week we meet with the people writing, analyzing, reporting on, and implementing policy and study the strategy and tactics utilized.

Through empowerment-based case management and information-sharing, I support incarcerated individuals in their transition back into the community before, during, and after release. I am committed to providing a continuity of care, and work both inside the Hampshire County Jail as well as in the community and in multiple recovery centers. I’m also revolutionizing data tracking and organizational measures in the HSO C.A.R.E.S. unit.

I performed case management services for incarcerated folks and community members at risk of incarceration. I helped clients create reentry plans, connected them with community agencies, advocated on behalf of my clients with lawyers and agencies, collaborated with other service providers to expand jail programming, and ensured a continuity of care during the transition out of county jail.

The Hampshire County Center for Women and Community provides free services such as referrals, counseling, education, crisis services, and leadership programs for women in the surrounding area. Before beginning this position, I completed training in trauma-informed and empowerment-based principles in care and education. As an Educator Advocate I created and presented promotional and educational materials, and worked with the team at CWC to advance health, education, and violence-prevention goals on UMass campus.

At OCS I lead the Local Governmental Services Plan preparation and research, creating and analyzing a survey of local service providers to inform county resource distribution and community health goals for 2021. Focusing on expanding service access in the North Country through institutional relationship-building, I worked closely with numerous non-profits in the area to develop strong plans and initiatives to improve my county. Consulting on the county's Assisted Outpatient Treatment program, I also built a database to track progress and success for those receiving AOT services and a plan for future management of the county's file system.

I began in customer service and sales running the main register at Binley's, then expanded to back office operations, floral stylist services, and direct customer management.

The Womanhood Program is an all-female re-entry program, both voluntary and in use by the Eastern Hampshire District Court. Providing life skills training and interpersonal connections to support a healthy transition back to the community, the program is locally renowned for its success. Before the COVID-19 pandemic I aided in the administration of the program and consulted on the structure and logistics of maintaining a re-entry program.

Brainstormed, planned, and executed events for the Action Council to host and participate, volunteered at multiple Planned Parenthood events, and tabled at local community events for community engagement and education around services.

Made client appointment confirmation, scheduling, and cold-call prospecting calls and managed daily client interactions.Handled various tech support functions, managed digital and hard-copy file system, organized and inventoried office space and equipment, transferred all digital company data to a new software, and taught other employees new Medical Spa software.Improved office efficiency through improved standards of office communication; coordinated employee daily schedules; data entry/cleaning; database building; new and continued employee training.

I began at SPA selling tickets and was quickly promoted to hostess, running the front of house operations and providing direct customer management. I handled hundreds of attendees a day, ensuring their comfort and acting as liaison between customers and the other departments of SPA.
