LaunchHouse is a businesss accelerator, investment fund, coworking community, and entrepreneurial education group that has been a general hub and home for many Cleveland entrepreneurs over the past years 8 years.Entrepreneurial Community- We converted numerous abandoned warehouses into entrepreneurial work/life spaces that have been homebase to hundreds of companies, the makerspace of Cleveland, the first high school business accelerator, a gigabyte entrepreneurial 'Fiberhood' of affordable entrepreneur housing, the LH gardens, so many great Meetup communities, hackathons, and thousands of entrepreneurial events, classes, workshops and social activities. Investments- The LH portfolio has grown to over 60 early stage startup companies. Early investments were primarily software, food, alternative energy, and medicine. Middle years were software and app investments and our most recent accelerator class was partnered with NASA and targeted hardware/advanced manufacturing startups. Our monthly idea whiteboarding group (2007) grew into our first investments (2008) and ultimately into one of the larger entrepreneurial communities in the Midwest. I cherish my immersive experience with such a broad range of creative people and being involved in the rebirth of a city's entrepreneurial ecosystem from the ground up.

Ohio Homecoming is a “Movement” designed to bring cross-sections of the community together to raise the profile of the state of Ohio, reinvigorate citizens to aspire to greatness, build civic pride and invest in our local cities and neighborhoods.The “Movement” got its start in 2010, in Cleveland Ohio, when a group of talented, energetic emerging leaders came together. These young people set out to use their talent, enthusiasm, vision, and influence towards creating festival like experiences, and investment in community development projects to get the community excited, involved, and devoted again to be living in Cleveland.Traditionally, the Ohio Homecoming festival has occurred during the week of Cleveland’s birthday, July 22nd. Over the course of 5-years, the Movement has successfully produced several multi-day festivals, 2 televised City New Years Eve experiences, raised and donated over $50,000 to charity/non-profit organizations, and engaged over 50,000 Ohioans.

LightHouse Ohio is the first high school business accelerator in the country. In partnership with LaunchHouse we locate, validate and scale startups founded by Northeast Ohio high school students. Students receive access to workspace, mentors, investors and a community of entrepreneurs all in order to grow and be successful. The Makers' Alliance is a 501(c)3 nonprofit with the mission of helping the Makers of Greater Cleveland in their various endeavors. We provide a physical space, access to tools and resources, and shared knowledge for people with interests in science, technology and art.

Similar to Kansas City's Startup Village, Launchhouse and OneCommunity partnered to install a fiber-optic network around the Launchhouse neighborhood. Launchhouse manages several entrepreneur houses nearby to create a live-work community.

Helping to expand AMIDAC's wind turbine components and lighting divisions. AMIDAC designs, develops, manufactures, distributes and sells high quality exothermic & rail welding products for a broad range of applications in the electrical, grounding, lightning protection and rail markets.

As a designer, I am most passionate about natural plant material, reforestation, the anti-lawn movement, local food and designing sustainable communities and households to provide increased quality of living and a healthier environment.

Worked my way up from grunt laborer through crew foreman, then into the office as a designer. I was lucky to study under some amazing Landscape Architects who showed me how to comprehend my client needs, how to read a site, and how to try and bring out beautiful and functional solutions. My early years as a laborer bolstered my love of the plant material and gave me a respect for designing with function in mind and actually understanding the budgetary, labor and longevity ramifications of how you design something.
