My passion for advocacy developed during my graduate studies when I was introduced to the world of Autism. I spent 20+ years in the realm of Autism Spectrum Disorders. I worked as a special education teacher, lead teacher and program specialist where I developed and implemented comprehensive educational intervention plans. I have also provided in-home programming and consultative support for students with ASD, ADHD, learning disabilities, behavioral concerns and more. I am team-oriented, having worked as part of teams that included parents, medical professionals, therapists, educators and 1:1 support staff. I pride myself in creative thinking and strategizing to ensure that the student is not only receiving their appropriate programming, but is truly getting the best supports in each domain area. I ensure understanding along the way for both the student and their families.
