From planning media for a national home improvement chain to developing marketing campaigns that help families stay safe and and warm in the homes, I have done some really amazing projects during my career and look forward to many more opportunities. I enjoy when someone mentions a marketing campaign I've led and that inspired them to act; whether to buy, give, volunteer, or obtain a service they need. I also enjoy research, design and planning. The opportunity to dig in and develop a campaign that inspires action is always rewarding. The message of “Start with Why” by Simon Sinek resonates with me. As a marketer, you always wonder what motivates someone to act. He simplifies that thought into three words - what, how and why; as he calls it the Golden Circle. He illustrates that it isn’t what you do, or how you do it. What inspires people to act is why you do it. Our purpose call. Why do we exist and why should anyone care. People don’t buy what you do, they buy why we do it. Finding your true "why" can be difficult but once you craft that message it will resonate with people and inspire action.
