About Darcie Brown
The field of Human Resource Management is a perfect fit for me to utilize my strengths in communication and creativity. I have recognised through my job as a sporting coach at Wesley College, helping people and directing them to develop their skills further, is what drives me most. I have also been lucky enough to work at various schools throughout Victoria, working with a wide range of people from varying backgrounds, religions, ages, and cultures. One of these jobs that I worked, at Fairfield Primary School, saw me as an acting Business Manager for the duration of 2019. Prior to being hired for this job I had no experience in the HR, accounts fields or people management meaning I had to learn whilst on the job. I managed two employees underneath myself and made reports to present to the Finance Committee and School Council. This job taught me how important time management, communication and teamwork is. I was lucky enough to have this opportunity and I am grateful as it firmly established my want to pursue a career in HR. I am dedicated to find a job in Human Resources that will hope to see me help diversify the workforce and ensure that employees are treated equally and with respect, whilst operating at their maximum potential, in a rewarding workplace. I am currently working as the Human Resource Manager at Melbourne Girls College.

Acting Business Manager
I was the Acting Business Manager at Fairfield Primary School for the duration of 2019. Took on this role with no experience within the HR or Accounts fields, therefore had to learn on the job. This involved trusting my intuition and not being afraid to ask for help from experienced Business Managers if needed. I was asked to make formal reports such as Profit & Loss Statements and Financial Statements to present to School Council and the Finance Council. I also managed two employees who worked in the office along side myself, which also saw me having to answer the phone and manage the front reception. The position was a full time roll that due to my university commitments I had to complete in 3 days. This saw me having to manage my time extremely well to ensure the work was completed to the highest standard possible in a timely manner. I was offered the role as a full time ongoing position but unfortunately my studies at the time had to take priority.
